John Kasich ends his campaign today...Drumpf destroyed everyone in his wake. A double tap from Indiana last night! Unless the Bern can pull off a miracle, it’s going to be Trump v. Hillary.

And some polls have him beating Hillary in the general. Which isn’t too far fetched. Trump is gaining more traction than a downhill freight train, and he doesn’t play by the same rules Hillary does. That might do her in.

Hopefully the only Ted Cruz(e) we hear about ever again will be Benjamin Rolland’s. :)

Trump is such an odd candidate. Typically parties end up picking someone who upholds their platform or someone who is ‘electable’ (with all the nuance behind that...none of which means they’re necessarily electable in plain language). Trump is neither. I don’t know if he’s ever even read the ‘pub platform and he certainly doesn’t fit the traditional ‘electable’ mode. Everyone thought he’d ride the early splinter candidate wave then fade just like a Buchanan then fade maybe winning a state or two only... everyone . Yet that didn’t happen. I wouldn’t put any stock in polls or analysis since they have built in assumptions in their selections based on previous voter behavior. That’s out the window so they’re all junk-in-junk-out today.

Will be interesting to watch if nothing else.

I was listening to a podcast the other day, a guy from Australia said Americans are viewing this as an election. The rest of the world is viewing this as an IQ test for America. We are failing the test.

I still think there is a chance the GOP might have Trump assassinated, that is getting close to the only hope for the future of America.

Everybody thought Trump would get bored and leave, but he didn’t. And when the Republicans couldn’t manage to field a reasonable alternative, the die was cast. I think Trump is an opportunist. He saw an opening, as he might in the business world, and got what he wanted. Who knows if he could keep it up for four years. I’m no Trump supporter, but I’d rather have him selecting potential SC justices than Cruz. I think I’d rather have an opportunistic blowhard than a religious zealot. And as I said in the OP, there are still 6 long, long months to go. At this point, it’s clear that absolutely anything can happen.

Trump has regularly been a misogynist and historically has been so. He’s openly a women hater...However, Hillary has also regularly slapped Feminism in the face in this election cycle. She’s been abusing Feminism to get votes, at the cost of muddying her good track record with women.
